Many of us wonder what our purpose is. We try to look at our strengths, see what others think our gifts are and look over past experiences to see where life is continually pointing us. I can remember when I was a little girl watching my mom in the bathroom apply liquid liner in such precision that I was in awe. I remember trying liquid liner for the first time…what an experience; I thought I needed to call poison control because my eye felt like it was on fire!! Liner was everywhere, but straight. After I rinsed my eye out, I was determined that one day I would be able to apply liner that meticulously. With that determination and passion, my mind was intrigued to explore the artistic realm of makeup.

I believe there is beauty within everyone (hence the website name). Makeup can be a catalyst in helping us to see our inner beauty.

For example, a woman may think she has small, squinty eyes and the moment someone introduces her to mascara, she realizes how beautiful her eyes really are. Or for the young woman who can’t seem to embrace her voluptuous lips and when taught how to apply lip liner correctly, realizes how many women would love to have lips like her.  I think of these things when I “people watch.” I like to look at people and admire certain facial features and imagine particular colors on their skin.  Nevertheless, makeup is what you make it. Do I think it is a necessity? No. However, makeup is a wonderful tool when used correctly.
